Bela´s injury stops him from the next tournaments: ”I will return”
Fernando Belasteguins injury stops him from the next two tournaments. The World Padel Tour and Bela himself announced this on Twitter: ”I will return to continue enjoying my passion”, he writes.
It was during the semi-final of the Vigo Open that Fernando Belasteguin was injured in his calf. However, he recovered and was able to win the whole tournament with Sanyo Gutierrez.
In the following tournament, the Santander Open, he worsened the injury and canceled the semi-final.
It is now clear that Fernando Belasteguin will rest two tournaments, the upcoming Marbella Masters and Valladolid Masters.
”It's the left calf. Now we'll rehab it well. It's a shame because we really have momentum now. But I want it to heal well because despite being 42 years old, I still feel that I can win tournaments with Sanyo. I will work every day to get well”, writes the Argentinian legend to PadelDirekt.
Who Sanyo Gutierrez will play with in the upcoming competitions is currently unclear.
”It is bad news for us as a pair, but good news that it's all muscle and no tendon damage writes Fernando Belasteguin on his Twitter.
