Bela is back — in the line-up for Valladolid Masters

Everyone thought that Fernando Belasteguin would miss even the second Master's competition of the season. But after a record recovery, he will now play in the Valladolid Masters.

It came as a surprise to many when Fernando Belasteguin is on the starting list for the Valladolid Masters, which will be held this week.

During the semi-final of the Santander Open, Fernando Belasteguin injured his calf and was forced to cancel. The forecast said he would be out for both the Marbella Masters and the Valladolid Masters.

But now the icon is back sooner than expected.

”For 13 days, I have been working from 7 am to 9 pm, and I have always had you close to me with your family helping me out with my progress. You gave me the best technology to train non-stop but what I most admire is your war heart”, writes Fernando Belasteguin in an Instagram post about Gianluca Vacchi, who helped Bela in his recovery.

He and his partner Sanyo Gutierrez take up the fight for the Race of 2021 with Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan. The two pairs have won all tournaments this season. Three tournament wins for Alejandro Galan and Juan Lebron and two for Bela and Sanyo. The teams are also seeded first and second in the upcoming Master's tournament.

During the latest tournament, The Marbella Masters, Sanyo Gutierrez found his replacement in his nephew Cristian Gutierrez. There was only one tournament for the relatives.
